The UP Aggregates is an academic organization exclusively for Civil Engineering Students of all year levels in the University of the Philippines.  It is recognized by the College of Engineering as well as the University, and it actively participates in the activities of the Engineering Student Council.

Back in 1985, twenty-nine Civil Engineering students found themselves clamoring for a more fulfilling student organization.  They sought one that would realize their academic objectives as well as provide an outlet for meaningful extra-curricular participation.  It was for this purpose that the UP Aggregates came into being.

Though relatively young, the organization quickly established itself as an active participant in numerous campus activities and has even organized an annual University-wide inter-block word factory game called Salitagisan.

An ideal academic organization should always promote academic excellence among its members.  Through the years, the organization has worked hard to reach that ideal.  That hard work has borne fruit and is shown by many of today’s Civil Engineers who were once part of UP Aggregates - alumni who have been successful in the profession.

Although the organization prioritizes academics, it does not forgo extra-curricular activities.  It actively participates in campus activities and contests hosted by the Student Council or by other student organizations.  It also holds sportsfests, and joins University or College sporting events.  The organization has regular positions for officers and it sponsors activities which require individuals with leadership skills, and engages in other events which stimulate the skills of the artistically inclined, music enthusiasts, the trivia buffs, the writers, and the simply adventurous.
