The turkey's in the oven and
The cook's been up since dawn.
There's cranberries and homemade rolls.
And pumpkin pies are baked and warm.



Our families share their stories.
The children play and sing.
We reminisce and share the joy
That this Thanksgiving brings.



Now is the time to offer thanks
On this Thanksgiving Day
When families gather for the feast
Hands joined before we pray.

 

Dear Lord we ask you bless this house
And those that dwell within.
We ask you bless this food and drink
And those around this table's brim.



You've given us abundance Lord
We praise your name for this.
For there are many, many others that
Thanksgiving Day will miss.



We give you thanks for keeping us
Within your loving care all year.
And for keeping all our loved ones
In your reach...they are so dear.



We thank you for our country Lord
It keeps us safe and free
The place of our forefather's pride
"Sweet land of liberty".



And Lord we thank you for our friends
May you bless them every day.
We ask you keep them in your care.
For it's friends who share the way.



And Lord, may you keep our loved ones
Who are there with you in Heaven
Safely in your loving arms
Until we meet again.



And when the heavenly harvest is done
And loved ones leave for home
Let us remember Thanksgiving each day
And each day give thanks and atone.







We Gather Together

We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing
He chastens and hastens His will to make known.
The wicked oppressing cease them from distressing
Sing praises to His name, He forgets not his own..

Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining.
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine.
So from the beginning the fight we were winning
The Lord was at our side, the glory be Thine.
