They are available at Radio Shack in Pryor. Also, the National Weather Service offers an information page on buying weather radios. When you get your weather radio, you will need the SAME code for the area. These codes may be found at http://www.weather.gov/nwr/CntyCov/nwrOK.htm or by calling 1-888-697-7263. You will also wish to know what channel to tune your radio. Two transmitters serve Mayes County. One is in Tulsa on 162.55 mHz while the other, on 162.50 mHz, is near Grove. Both of these channels can be heard by using a radio scanner. Get your "smoke detector" for weather today. |
