TITLE: Traffic & Office Manager. As Traffic Manager I was responsible for entering and scheduling customer’s commercials and then compiling and sending out the billing to the customers. I also made sure that the money received daily was entered and credited correctly in the computer. As Office Manager I was everything for overseeing the other office personnel along with preliminary hiring interviews when necessary. I oversaw the ordering and managing of office supplies and other material ordered by the radio station. I also had to know the bookkeeper’s duties for vacation and sick days.

REASON FOR LEAVING: Upon finishing my associate’s degree at Howard College, and realized that I could not perform my job duties and continue my education at an out of town university at the same time. So I decided that it was time to go back to school full time to finish my bachelor’s degree.

TITLE: SERS Clerk. I was responsible for ordering, receiving, and distributing the new classroom materials received, keeping an up-to-date inventory of all materials. I assembled, updated, and loaded the computers, training the teachers in the procedures and programs on the computers. I also gave several seminars for the teachers on Microsoft Works, Aldus Pagemaker, and Print Shop Deluxe.

I was responsible for answering the emergency phones for the police, ambulance and fire department during the day and the sheriffs, TX DPS, and water department on weekends and at night. This would include answering the phone, recording the call, sending the appropriate personnel, documenting radio traffic, attaining computer checks for the officers, and typing their reports with all the appropriate forms if necessary.
