International Festival - March 14, 2002

“For God so loved the world, that He sent His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” - John 3:16

This was the culminating event following a week of missionary speakers and classroom projects designed to open the student’s eyes to the needs and ministry opportunities around the world.  Students worked for several weeks on projects related to curriculum topics with a specific focus on the international world.  From kindergarten through high school, students prepared presentations, constructed displays and learned about ceremonies and cultural features of other nations and ethnic groups.  On Thursday evening we opened the gymnasium and classrooms to the community to experience the cultures as the students presented them.  There was singing, music, food at every display, information, costumes, a Japanese tea ceremony, Australian cricket and many other items to enjoy.  The evening was a great success.  Students learned and presented and most importantly their eyes and hearts were opened to the people around the world.
