Though a few of you may know who I am, most of the Pagan/New Age Community probably remembers me as Kalioppe. If you have no idea what I知 talking about, read a little further and let me introduce myself!A native Texan, I now live in the Midwest with my husband, son, and two labrador retrievers, Sadie Mae and Jonah Know. I知 a Third Degree Wiccan High Priestess of the Georgian Tradition, founded the Coven of the Crystal Garden in 1986, and spent many years teaching the Craft to students in eight states and in Australia. Some of my other interests include competition archery and bowhunting, computer networking with those of a like mind, magical herbalism, tarot and stonework, and magical needlecraft.
A charter member of M.A.G.I.C. [an organization of writers and artists who encourage a vision of a whole-united Earth] and the Pagan Poet痴 Society, my work has appeared in various journals and newsletters over the past few years. Some of these publications include Circle Network News, SageWoman, Silver Chalice, Aladrissa's Cauldron, Witches and Witchlings, From the Heart/h, Craft/Crafts, The Spider, The Kore, Tudor Rose, Abracadabra, New Moon Rising, and The Crone Chronicles. You値l find my poetry and magical recipes in Patricia Telesco's The Kitchen Witches' Cookbook (Llewellyn), and my mythical short stories in S.R. Smith's anthology of Folklore, Fable and Fantasy (Galde Press).
If you haven't read any of my books, wander into the Library and check them out. Then scan the bookshelves at your local retailer for MAGICAL NEEDLEWORK (Llewellyn Publications), and EVERYDAY MAGIC (Llewellyn Publications). In March of 1999, look for IN PRAISE OF THE CRONE: A CELEBRATION OF FEMININE SPIRITUALITY (Llewellyn Publications). Later next year, THE WHIMSICAL TAROT (US Games Systems, Inc.) will be released; it痴 a deck for children illustrated by Mary Hanson-Roberts.
