      MY FATHER'S EYES

      Sailing down behind the sun
Waiting for my prince to come,
      Praying for the healing rain
      To restore my soul again.
Just a toerag on the run.
      How did I get here?
      What have I done?
When will all my hope arise?
      How will I know him?
When I look into my father's eyes.
      My father's eyes.
When I look into my father's eyes.
      My father's eyes.
Then the light begins to shine
And I hear those ancient lullabies.
And as I watch this seedling grow,
Feel my heart start to overflow.
Where do I find the words to say?
      How do I teach him?
      What do we play?
      Bit by bit,I've realized
      That's when I need them,
      That's when I need my father's eyes.
      My father's eyes.That's when I need them,
      My father's eyes.
      Then the jagged edge appears
Through the distant clouds of tears.
      I'm like a bridge that was washed away;
My foundations were made of clay.
As my soul slides down to die.
      How could I lose him?
      What did I try?
      Bit by bit I've realized,
      That he was here with me;
I looked into my father's eyes.
      My father's eyes
I looked into my father's eyes
      My father's eyes.

      My father's eyes.
      My father's eyes.
I looked into my father's eyes.
      My father's eyes.

      A Blast from the Past
      My Dad

My Dad and Mom met very young and dated for about a year. He then went into the army when he was only 17 or 18, and was stationed in Maryland. She went with him. He got a five day leave and they got married! He then had to go to Germany. My Mom went to live with her parents and her sister. She found out she was pregnant shortly after my Dad had gone to Germany. After serving three years, he recieved an Honorable Discharge and returned to his wife and baby of 18 months whom he had not even met yet! Then, I guess they really made up for lost time (grin) because they had three babies one year after another. I of course being the first of those three...I am not going to go into the whole history here 'cuz Im saving that for a book I plan on writting (smiles)that will make me rich someday, and I can retire! (LOL)

      Mom & Dad, Dec.20,1955

      Me and my Sis

Dad moved to California after we mostly were on our own...and he put an ad in the paper. Ya know one of those relationship ads... and his angel answered it. They had dinner and basically have been together ever since! ( Mmhm! I wonder what they ordered , or if they even ate anything at all?)

      Dad and Mom

      DEAR DAD

      I want to say so many things;
I don't know how to start.
I want to capture and describe
      The feelings of my heart.

      But words are so inadequate
To tell you how I feel
That scarcely any thing I say
      Will my true thoughts reveal.

Just let it now suffice to say
      That deep inside I know
My love for you is something
      That I will never outgrow.

Your many special traits will always
      In my heart combine
In such a way that you alone
      A perfect Dad define.

Your warmth and caring are the traits
      That I am proudest of
      My future's brighter through
The fine example of your love.

      All my Love...Your daughter, Sea

For yesterday is but a Dream,
And Tomorrow is only a Vision
      But Today, well-lived,
      Makes every Yesterday
      A Dream of Happiness,
      And every Tomorrow
      A Vision of Hope.
      I Love You...

for visiting and come back again as I have a tendacy to change and add things often. And I will be updating the pictures too!

      get this gear!

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!"
      "Gone where?"
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says:"There, she is gone!" there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: "Here she comes!"

      And that is dying.

My Dad left this world as he knew it, today 5/31/99 @ 6:20 a. m.
