Algonquin Highlands has a fully appointed recreation centre with an air-conditioned squash court, weight and fitness room, a gymnasium equipped with volleyball, basketball, floor hockey and badminton equipment. Also found in the municipality are many facilities in Dorset, Oxtongue Lake and Stanhope for meetings, parties, workshops, dances and weddings.
