That's right, the Mystery Science Theater 3000 Movie Database.
It's just like the Internet Movie Database, but it's only Mystery Science Theater 3000 movies.
(Now the Internet Movie Database has a fairly complete listing of mst3k movies.)
NAQ(Never Asked Questions):
1. How does it work?
Easy. The movies are sorted in order of episode number, by movie title, by Directors/Writers/Crew, by actor/actress, and by shorts, so just click on the one you're interested in.
Also, the actors and crew listed are only those that I'm aware of that have been in 2 OR MORE Mystery Science Theater 3000 movies.
So don't go looking under "Directors/Writers/Crew" for Virgil W. Vogel, director of episode 803 : The Mole People, because he isn't listed.
2. What's the point?
Putting things in order.
Oh, bite me, it's fun!
I had just finished watching episode 803 : The Mole People, and I thought, "What was the name of the one where Mike did Hugh Beaumont in the Hexfield Viewscreen?"
Well, I couldn't remember, and I soon forgot about such nonsense and turned my attention back to my basket weaving.
Later, though, I thought about it some more, and decided that there should be an internet website, gosh darn it, that could help out someone who was looking for this kind of information!
What if somebody wanted to figure out exactly which director had directed the most MST3K movies?
This information should be made available, and I'm just the one to have made it available!(or something like that)
What the Mystery Science Theater 3000 Movie Database is about is connections between different movies shown on MST3K. Writers who have written more than one MST3K movie, actors who practically seem to be recurring characters on the show, and of course, directors who have had the pleasure of having their entire film career MSTified.
Basically, it's all just trivia.
Please note, however, that this website does not provide the answer to the question about which one it was in which Mike portrayed Hugh Beaumont. So this website is basically a failure.
3. Hey! Such-and-Such was in So-and-So and you didn't list it!
No, I didn't put that in the Mystery Science Theater 3000 Movie Database. That's because I hate that asshole.
Just kidding. The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Movie Database is a work-in-progress. Just e-mail me to let me know where I screwed up. (My e-mail address is evenson@_removethispart_yahoo.com)
Together we can make the Mystery Science Theater 3000 Movie Database into a useful tool for MSTies everywhere!
Well, probably not. But it's a hobby, anyway.
All ready?
Then, come on in!
