Yes, the patch is still being worked on. The D2X v1.10 patch team has doubled in size, (2 people now, whoopie), but the patch is still at least a month away, and probably further than that. It's now mid October. It looks like Thanksgiving going on Early December would be a reasonable estimate. But as always, don't expect Blizzrd to keep a deadline. Keep your eyes open for updates.
Slow Realm Action 10/14/2002 - Jaren
The realms have been at a constant slow, day and night, from a new hack called the "Pindelskin Bot". This bot is completely automated, hard as it is to believe. All you have to do is set it up, click a few buttons, and magically it logs you in, creates a game such as "Pin Run 00001", controlls your guy to do a specific move and kill pindleskin. He is then programed to pick up specific items, heal when necessary, leave if his or her life is to low and/or repair durability. Wow, how pathetic can you get? The lag comes from those psycos leaving on those bots for hours upon hours, over night, so on and so forth. ..........Cheating=Gay=No Life= No challenge.

Well Blizzard just announced that they are remaking one of their first games called, "The Lost Vikings" on Gameboy.........*cough*.......how exciting. How about all quit that project and work on the patch. =)

As part of their fix with the latest hack/dupe, (which used packed sending related to the soulstone spawning bug) Blizzard caused another problem. If you talk to Cain in Act 4 and haven't done the Hellforge quest, you'll get disconnected and flagged. What a deal. So look foward to not joining back on the realm for another 30 minutes.
