Hi my name is Sue, I am at a very young age of 39,Yup I've had a birthday (snicker), I was born in Belfast, lived in Ellsworth for a short time, moved to Brewer and lived there for 5 years, then we moved to a little town by the name of Boothbay Harbor lived there until I was 7 and then moved to Belfast, Maine. You see my dad worked for a company by the name of A&P (a grocery store chain) and was relocated several times. When his mom passed away and he decided to move back to his home town. I graduated in 1978 from Belfast Area High School. Then attended one year of College studing in the area of Medical Secretary.
For several years I worked at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast. I met my husband (Michael) in 1982 and moved with him to the next neighboring town of Searsport.
In 1985 I became employed with Penobscot Bay Medical Center further down the coast of Maine.
In 1986 a beautiful daughter by the name of Cara, was born. She has been a joy to our world...Cara keeps us real busy with all that she does, but we wouldnt trade her for the world :).
I continued to work for PBMC until , in 1989 a son was brought into this world by the name of Nicholas,. He had us hopping alot when he was a baby and thats when I decided that my traveling was taking to much time away from my family. Since 1989 I have been a stay at home mom.
I enjoy being a stay at home mom. Being at home gives me the opportunity to do things with the kids, that I'm not really sure if I worked full time if I would be able to do it. If any of you have young kids and can stay at home do it, I have not regreted one day of staying at home.
We do a lot of cooking and crafting together...doing homework, reading, playing games, and playing with our one cat.
I stay busy volunteering at the local schools here in Searsport. I have been on the Board of Directors for the Waldo County Preschool, and have also been doing substitute work for the Searsport Elementary School and the Waldo County Preschool.
My other interest are crafting, cooking, and chatting.
You could find me on mIRC4dummies, on the Undernet. I call dummies my home away from home! I feel like so many people that I have met there are like my family. A really nice caring bunch of ops and people that are there.
I have met a lot of really special people in dummies. There are a few people that I stand out in my mind and I would like to say thank you to them...first of all there is an operator by the nick of Saffire, ..heheheheh she was there when I first came on to mIRC. Me being the total dummie that I was back then....boy did I have my scares and Saff was there when I needed someone to talk to. We've shared our laughter and our tears together. Oh yeah and even coffee in the morning.....Thnx Saff :)
Next is an extra special lady, momm, I would like to say thnx for giving me the extra push and encouragement that I needed on dummies..I would say I cant do that momm and she would say oh yes you can Sue. (and guess what, I did it!) I have met momm in real life and she truely is a very remarkable lady. Can't wait til we get together again...she has talked to me so many times about my life.....her nick does fit her. :) Thnx momm,
Of course there is the channel owner of #mIRC4dummies...girlybear...another wonderful and I might add smart lady. If ya ever need help with mIRC this lady is the one to ask. Hard to say who knows more saff, momm, or girly! I also have met girly in real life...she has been nice enough to open up her home to me and a bunch of others for dummies gatherings. Girly has given me a lot of little extra tips on how to raise my kids! Amazing what people know...thnx again girly :)
One of the gatheringsNext are two special friends that are the reason Im hooked to morning coffee or late nite chats with. They are `lexus and tip, these two were like the first ones that were one mIRC that would actually not make me feel like a complete dummie! We learned the ropes together...and as a matter of fact we still are learning. I look forward to seeing their nicks on my notify list when I connect to the undernet!
