I just purchased this car (September 2008). I plan to take my time and treat this car as my project car. The vehicle is in very good condition for a 1994, but it has 247,000 miles on it. The dealer told me that he has had this car for 7 years. It was his wife's car until they divorced. His daughter then drove it for a few years while she went to college. He then placed it on his car lot. He told me that he sold it and recently took it back in on trade for a newer BMW. I am a bit concerned about the milage, but he told me that between 180,000 and 185,000 miles the most recent owner had the transmission rebuilt. He also told me that they had the engine rebuilt at approximately 165,000 miles. The car runs great, but he could also be telling me a huge story to sell me this vehicle. I paid fair market value for the vehicle so i will not complain, but I absolutely did not get a great deal. So that is the histroy of the vehicle as I know it. I plan to begin the process of restoring this great car. Follow along if you care... |
