The Cedar Lake Seven
Men's Gospel Choir

Elvis
words from the King

There are three kinds of people in the world: those that can count, and those that can't.

The Cedar Lake Seven is a small, mostly a cappella, gospel group that is one of my main hobbies. We sing for old folks homes, small churches, and on the odd occasion, banker's conventions and the Old Chicago bar in the Minneapolis Uptown area.
This is excerpted from an article that was written up in the Star Tribune in January, '97:
The gospel lyrics resound in the heads of those who live with the members of the Cedar Lake Seven. Though the group rehearses only one night a week, they all have tapes and CDs playing nonstop in their homes and cars. They're learning from the big names in gospel such as the Fairfield Four, the Dixie Hummingbirds, the Harmonizing Four, the Golden Gate Quartet, the Staple Singers, and of course their favorite, Elvis.
I don't know anything about music. In my line you don't have to. -- Elvis Presley (1935-1977)

I think everyone should sing all the time. If the good Lord gave you a beautiful singing voice, it's a fine way to say "Thank you"; and if he didn't, it's a good way to get even. -- Van Holyoake

The singer will have to go. -- Manager Eric Easton, speaking of his new talents, The Rolling Stones
