J&J Custom Muscle Cars

Hi, my name is Jason Strempke. I currently reside in Sumter, South Carolina. I like to call home Waterloo, Iowa but due to the military, I move about quit frequently.

I have been interested in cars since I was about 8 years old. I grew up on a farm so I kind of had a nack for mechanics. I have previously owned a 78 Monte Carlo, a 79 Chevy 1/2 ton 4X4, an 81 Grand Prix with a 455 Rocket, an 86 Firebird, and a 77 Corvette L-82. I currently own an 87 Grand National, an 82 Camaro, and a 77 Nova which is a dirt circle track race car that I plan to run in the street stock division. More to come on that one.

Bandit Motorsports has a long yet short history to it. Here's a little about us.

I have both drag raced and dirt circle tracked. My drag racing consisted of about 2 years. My circle track carear consisted of 1/2 year on and off. I mainly pitted but ran a few laps myself. Most of my engine experience has been with the famous Chevy 350's. But I have also worked on the big block Chevy's, 455's, 3.8L Buick turbos, and numerous other engines. I have also built countless engines for street driving purposes. By far my favorite is racing engines though. I also have experience with Holley's, turbos, both manual and automatic tranny's, exhaust systems, and aerodynamics. Right now, Bandit Motorsports consists of myself, my brother Justin, my girlfriend Shannon "Chipmunk" Wells, Corey Ross, and Joe "The Kidd" Flarhtey. Special thanks to LaRue "Doc" Medlin, Scott Kirkland, David Strempke, Stacey Strempke, my girlfriend again Chipmunk, and the good Lord for giving me the chance to race once again and do what I love. I'd like to give special thanks to my folks though, Dave and Stacey. Without their help and support, I'd have been in the slammer a long time ago!

We can do most anything at our shop yet as of right now, we are still slightly limited as far as our machine work goes. We can do basic porting/polishing, carb work, engine rebuilds or build ups, chassis work including welding, straightening, etc. Most all work I've done to my race cars, I've done myself. I've always believed in the saying "if you want it done right, do it yourself". We stand behind our work too with warranties based on the type of work done and intended use.
