1973 Olds Omega Homepage
Muscle Cars didn't die in 1972, they just got more luxurious
This is the ONLY Oldsmobile Omega Homepage.
This car, in the form below, was only produced from 1973 untill 1975. I'm not the most knowledgable guy on these cars but I'm learing and any input would be GREATLY appreciated.
This page is small for now, but as my restoration (and it WILL be restored) gets underway the page will have LOTS of updates. Sign my guestbook if you will and make sure to come back and check on me and the Omega.
This car is a 1973, with brown interior, bench seats, a Rocket 350, 350 tranny, and 81,000 miles.
This is a picture of the Omega as she sits at Granger Oldsmobile in Chicago. This is where I'm buying it from for $995! Pretty good deal huh? The ORIGINAL owner, a 89 year old man, sold it to the dealer ship two weeks before I called. Also another guy was supposed to buy it, but I put down a deposit before he did. You snooze your loose. It will be quite a trip back from Chicago to my home in Houston in the Omega. I can't wait.
Well just some info on what I PLAN to do with this little GeM.
- The stock 350 is rated at 180 Hp. Not that much, (less than the 305 in my 1986 Monte Carlo)so it's going to get BEEFED up.
- It does have some minor surface problems so I am going to work on that, a probably end up painting it a nice triple gloss black.
- Okay, I'm a sucker for EMBLEMS, and I always thought a small Hurst/Olds would be cool, so I might make this into a H/O Omega.
- The interior isn't primo, not to mention brown and bench seats, so I feel a seat of buckets coming on. I already have them, so that is good. They are out of a 1978 Porsche 924. They are black leather with white & black houndstooth cloth insert. Also I will be redoing everything in black, and putting in a Hurst Dual Gate floor shifter to replace the tree unit.
- I also have a nice set of Olds Mags I'm going to slap on there and probably jack it up in the back, SLIGHTLY. I have lots of other ideas but I don't want to give them ALL away.
If you have any ideas you MUST write them down in the guestbook, of course you can just write down stuff in there for the heck of it too.

Special Thanks to Matt Cremean for his guiding me into this web site, and for being that someone I needed to talk about Old's stuff with. Make sure to visit his page too.
