- I liked him most as Thomas Sullivan Magnum on the TV hit series "Magnum, P.I." (1980 - 1988)
- Steven Spielberg wanted him to play Indiana Jones in "Raiders Of The LOst Ark" (1981), but he was still under contract for the "Magnum P.I." series
- he was married to Jaquelyn Ray (1970 - 1982, divorced), and is now married to Jillie Joe Mack (since September 1987)
- has one stepson, Kevin (* 1966 - from J. Rays first marriage)
- has a daughter, Hannah Margeret (* 1989) with Mack
- Toms father was Robert Selleck, a real-estate investor...he was Magnums grandpa on the series
- Toms motherīs name is Martha
- Tom has got two brothers, Robert Selleck, Jr., and Dan, both running the real-estate company Selleck Properties
