Nov. 16, 1929 Lafayette, Mississippi, Midway Methodist Cemetery. At 28 years of age James became the father of Robert Lee Mathis Chickasaw County, Mississippi, Oct. 21, 1869. At 31 years of age James became the father of Ethel "Etta" Mathis Lafayette County, Mississippi, Oct. 9, 1872. At 33 years of age James became the father of Mary Jane Mathis Lafayette County, Mississippi, Nov. 3, 1874. At 35 years of age James became the father of Thomas Samuel Mathis Lafayette County, Mississippi, April 19, 1877. At 38 years of age James became the father of William Walker Mathis Aug. 1879. At 43 years of age James became the father of Margaret Elizabeth Mathis Lafayette County, Mississippi, Aug. 1884. At 46 years of age James became the father of John P.
