Joseph was the son of William Albert Turkett and Ebby Elisabeth Wright. Joseph died 1917 Iowa Park, Texas, at 71 years of age. His body was interred aft. 1917 Wichita Falls, Texas, Highland Park Cemetery. At 21 years of age Joseph became the father of Mary Lou Turkett Dalton, Georgia, Aug. 24, 1867. Joseph became the father of Joseph McAfee Turkett Georgia, abt. 1869. At 26 years of age Joseph became the father of Sarah Melisa Turkett Georgia, Dec. 27, 1872. At 29 years of age Joseph became the father of James Alonzo Turkett Georgia, 1874/1875. Joseph became the father of John Wright Turkett abt. 1877. At 33 years of age Joseph became the father of Martha Alice Turkett Mississippi, March 5, 1880. At 35 years of age Joseph became the father of Jackson Henry Turkett April 17, 1882.
