1. Stephen¹ Pierce was born Poultney, Vermont Sept. 20, 1820. Stephen died Roseville, Illinois.

He married Lottie Johnson. Lottie was born Poultney, Vermont June 28, 1834. At 30 years of age Lottie became the mother of Herburt O. Pierce Poultney, Vermont, July 6, 1864.

At 43 years of age Stephen became the father of Herburt O. Pierce Poultney, Vermont, July 6, 1864.

Stephen Pierce and Lottie Johnson had the following child:

2 i. Herburt O.² Pierce was born Poultney, Vermont July 6, 1864. He married Sarah J. Drake April 1, 1885. Sarah was born Greenbush, Illinois Aug. 5, 1863. Sarah was the daughter of Samuel H. Drake and Phoebe Jane Todd.
