1. Stephan¹ Murray was born Killingworth, Middlesex County, Connecticut July 16, 1757. Stephan died Jan. 6, 1842 Sudbury, Rutland County, Vermont, at 84 years of age.

He married Louisa Rose. Louisa was born Killingworth, Middlesex County, Connecticut Aug. 1, 1760. Louisa was the daughter of Daniel Rose and Achsah Ball. At 23 years of age Louisa became the mother of Dorcas Murray Granville, Hampden County, Masschusetts, Dec. 3, 1783. At 25 years of age Louisa became the mother of Amassa Murray Sudbury, Rutland County, Vermont, Nov. 7, 1785. At 27 years of age Louisa became the mother of Manus Murray Sudbury, Rutland County, Vermont, Aug. 25, 1787.

At 26 years of age Stephan became the father of Dorcas Murray Granville, Hampden County, Masschusetts, Dec. 3, 1783. At 28 years of age Stephan became the father of Amassa Murray Sudbury, Rutland County, Vermont, Nov. 7, 1785. At 30 years of age Stephan became the father of Manus Murray Sudbury, Rutland County, Vermont, Aug. 25, 1787.

Stephan Murray and Louisa Rose had the following children:

2 i. Dorcas² Murray was born Granville, Hampden County, Masschusetts Dec. 3, 1783. Dorcas died Dec. 29, 1866 Crawfordsville Montgomery Coun, Indiana, at 83 years of age. She married Thomas Miller Sudbury, Rutland County, Vermont, March 29, 1807. Thomas was born Feb. 17, 1779. Thomas died Feb. 15, 1853 at 73 years of age.

+ 3 ii. Amassa Murray was born Nov. 7, 1785.

+ 4 iii. Manus Murray was born Aug. 25, 1787.
