1. Leonard O.¹ Rankin was born Jamestown, Missouri abt. 1894.

He married Cleora Allen Oklahoma, abt. 1916. Cleora was born Lincoln County, Kansas Nov. 15, 1899. Cleora was the daughter of James Will Allen and Hattie Marguerite Schroeder. Cleora died Aug. 4, 1975 Alemeda, California, at 75 years of age. At 21 years of age Cleora became the mother of Gilbert Oscar Rankin Oklahoma, May 23, 1921. At 25 years of age Cleora became the mother of Louise E. Rankin Oklahoma, 1925. At 27 years of age Cleora became the mother of Virgil Dean Rankin Oklahoma, May 17, 1927. At 31 years of age Cleora became the mother of Joe Luther Rankin Oklahoma, Jan. 29, 1931.

At 26 years of age Leonard became the father of Gilbert Oscar Rankin Oklahoma, May 23, 1921. At 31 years of age Leonard became the father of Louise E. Rankin Oklahoma, 1925. At 32 years of age Leonard became the father of Virgil Dean Rankin Oklahoma, May 17, 1927. At 36 years of age Leonard became the father of Joe Luther Rankin Oklahoma, Jan. 29, 1931.

Leonard O. Rankin and Cleora Allen had the following children:

+ 2 i. Gilbert Oscar² Rankin was born May 23, 1921.

3 ii. Louise E. Rankin was born Oklahoma 1925. She married Franklyn P. Andrews abt. 1936. Franklyn was born Wyoming Feb. 4, 1918. (Additional notes for Franklyn P. Andrews⁽²⁵³⁾) Franklyn died Aug. 25, 2004 Roseville, Placer County, California, at 86 years of age.

4 iii. Virgil Dean Rankin was born Oklahoma May 17, 1927. Virgil died July 29, 1969 Placer, California, at 42 years of age. His body was interred aft. July 29, 1969 Citrus Heights, Sacramento County, California, Sylvan Cemetery. He married Unknown Clarkson.

5 iv. Joe Luther Rankin was born Oklahoma Jan. 29, 1931. Joe died Aug. 14, 1987 San Joaquin, California, at 56 years of age.
