He married Rachel Witcher Virginia, abt. 1785. Rachel was born Pittsylavia County, Virginia abt. 1764. Rachel was the daughter of Captain William Witcher and Anna Rachel Majors. Rachel died aft. 1820 Cabell County, West Virginia. At 21 years of age Rachel became the mother of John Tyler Morrison Pittsylvania County, Virginia, Oct. 25, 1785.

At 21 years of age William became the father of John Tyler Morrison Pittsylvania County, Virginia, Oct. 25, 1785.

William James Morrison and Rachel Witcher had the following child:
