He married Catherine "Katie" Amelia Bartlett March 30, 1963. Catherine was born Bennington, Kansas Jan. 6, 1942. Catherine⁽²⁰⁷⁾ is the daughter of Arthur Eugene Allen and Gladys Isis Springsteel. At 23 years of age Catherine became the mother of Tricia Kay Meats Emporia, Kansas, Jan. 7, 1965. At 24 years of age Catherine became the mother of LaDonna Jean Meats Emporia, Kansas, July 19, 1966. At 29 years of age Catherine became the mother of Pamela Diane Meats Iola, Kansas, June 15, 1971. At 29 years of age Catherine became the mother of Gloria Ann Meats Iola, Kansas, June 15, 1971.

At 21 years of age Donald became the father of Tricia Kay Meats Emporia, Kansas, Jan. 7, 1965. At 23 years of age Donald became the father of LaDonna Jean Meats Emporia, Kansas, July 19, 1966. At 28 years of age Donald became the father of Pamela Diane Meats Iola, Kansas, June 15, 1971. At 28 years of age Donald became the father of Gloria Ann Meats Iola, Kansas, June 15, 1971.

Donald Sharon Meats and Catherine "Katie" Amelia Bartlett had the following children:

2 i. Tricia Kay² Meats was born Emporia, Kansas Jan. 7, 1965. She married Robert Penwell LeRoy, Kansas, June 20, 1992. Robert was born June 22, 1948.

3 ii. LaDonna Jean Meats was born Emporia, Kansas July 19, 1966. She married Jeffrey Paul True Westphalia, Kansas, May 21, 1988. Jeffrey was born June 24, 1967. At 23 years of age Jeffrey became the father of Nathan Jeffrey True Emporia, Kansas, April 4, 1991. At 26 years of age Jeffrey became the father of Ryan Christopher True Emporia, Kansas, Aug. 3, 1993. At 28 years of age Jeffrey became the father of Aaron Michael True Emporia, Kansas, Nov. 7, 1995. At 24 years of age LaDonna became the mother of Nathan Jeffrey True Emporia, Kansas, April 4, 1991. At 27 years of age LaDonna became the mother of Ryan Christopher True Emporia, Kansas, Aug. 3, 1993. At 29 years of age LaDonna became the mother of Aaron Michael True Emporia, Kansas, Nov. 7, 1995.

5 iv. Gloria Ann Meats was born Iola, Kansas June 15, 1971. She married twice. She married Bradley Scott Metzger. Bradley became the father of Krystal Metzger Emporia, Kansas, April 16, 1997.
