1. John Henry¹ Pool was born Muddy Creek, Rowan County, North Carolina June 10, 1776. John died April 7, 1856 Knox County, Illinois, at 79 years of age. His body was interred aft. April 7, 1856 Knox County, Illinois, Cherry Grove Cemetery.

He married Temperance G. "Tempe" Lomax Warren County, Illinois, Jan. 11, 1825. Temperance was born Kentucky May 22, 1803. Temperance was the daughter of Elijah H. Lomax and Rachel Hiatt. Temperance died Jan. 31, 1887 Abingdon, Knox County, Illinois, at 83 years of age. Her body was interred Feb. 1887 Knox County, Illinois, Cherry Grove Cemetery. At 21 years of age Temperance became the mother of Sarah Ann Johnson Pool Warren County, Kentucky, Oct. 17, 1824. At 25 years of age Temperance became the mother of Rachel Pool Martinville, Warren County, Kentucky, May 13, 1829. At 25 years of age Temperance became the mother of Elizabeth Pool Warren County, Kentucky, May 13, 1829. At 26 years of age Temperance became the mother of Elijah Pool Warren County, Kentucky, March 8, 1830. At 28 years of age Temperance became the mother of John Hartford Pool Warren County, Kentucky, May 19, 1832. At 30 years of age Temperance became the mother of William Taylor L. Pool Warren County, Kentucky, March 20, 1834. At 33 years of age Temperance became the mother of Rhonda Jane Pool Warren County, Kentucky, May 23, 1836. At 34 years of age Temperance became the mother of Benjamin Pool Martinsville, Warren County, Kentucky, May 8, 1838. At 35 years of age Temperance became the mother of Fredrick Moses Jackson Pool Martinsville, Warren County, Kentucky, April 18, 1839. At 39 years of age Temperance became the mother of Verlinda C. Pool Madison County, Kentucky, Sept. 8, 1842. At 43 years of age Temperance became the mother of Asbury W. Pool Kentucky, Nov. 11, 1846.

At 52 years of age John became the father of Rachel Pool Martinville, Warren County, Kentucky, May 13, 1829. At 55 years of age John became the father of John Hartford Pool Warren County, Kentucky, May 19, 1832. At 57 years of age John became the father of William Taylor L. At 27 years of age John became the father of America Ann Marr Knox County, Illinois, June 18, 1845. At 28 years of age John became the father of Temperance Elizabeth Marr Warren County, Illinois, April 8, 1847. At 20 years of age Sarah became the mother of America Ann Marr Knox County, Illinois, June 18, 1845. At 22 years of age Sarah became the mother of Temperance Elizabeth Marr Warren County, Illinois, April 8, 1847. She married Joseph Hively Knox County, Illinois, March 21, 1844. Joseph was born Muskingum County, Ohio Jan. 5, 1802. Joseph died Sept. 22, 1882 Monmouth, Illinois, at 80 years of age. At 42 years of age Joseph became the father of Anjeline Hively Warren County, Illinois, Dec. 23, 1844. At 44 years of age Joseph became the father of Lucinda Jane Hively Jan. 5, 1846. At 46 years of age Joseph became the father of Sarah Elizabeth Hively Warren County, Illinois, Feb. 5, 1848. At 47 years of age Joseph became the father of John Hively Warren County, Illinois, March 24, 1849. At 50 years of age Joseph became the father of William Hively May 2, 1852. At 52 years of age Joseph became the father of James H. Hively Warren County, Illinois, July 3, 1854. At 55 years of age Joseph became the father of Temperance Levonia Hively Oct. 6, 1857. Nov. 14, 1905 Knox County, Illinois, Cherry Grove Cemetery. She married Soloman Stegall Knox County, Illinois, Jan. 16, 1845. Soloman was born Pike County, Ohio Sept. 3, 1812. Soloman was the son of Fredrick Steagall and Susannah Sarah Warren. Soloman died Feb. 9, 1899 Galesburg, Knox County, Illinois, at 86 years of age. His body was interred aft. Feb. 9, 1899 Knox County, Illinois, Haynes Cemetery. At 33 years of age Soloman became the father of Orpa J. Stegall 1846. At 34 years of age Soloman became the father of Sarah Stegall 1847. At 37 years of age Soloman became the father of Freemont Stegall 1850. At 40 years of age Soloman became the father of Martha Ellen Stegall 1853. At 47 years of age Soloman became the father of Clara Stegall 1860. At 49 years of age Soloman became the father of Mary Belle Stegall 1862. At 49 years of age Soloman became the father of Asbury Stegall 1933, 1862. At 56 years of age Soloman became the father of Leonard Stegall 1869. Her body was interred Jan. 1879 Knox County, Iliinois, Cherry Grove Cemetery. She married Robert Sullivan Carr Warren County, Illinois, Oct. 31, 1851. Robert was born Defiance, Ohio Nov. 4, 1822. Robert died May 31, 1891 Abingdon, Knox County, Illinois, at 68 years of age. His body was interred June 1891 Knox County, Illinois, Cherry Grove Cemetery. At 29 years of age Robert became the father of John Madison Carr Warren County, Illinois, March 4, 1852. At 29 years of age Robert became the father of Emily E. Carr Floyd Township, Warren County, Illinois, Nov. 3, 1852. At 33 years of age Robert became the father of Martha Catherine Carr Warren County, Illinois, Nov. 30, 1855.
