This is a work in progress. It's a primarily a history of the Heavners and related families. Some of the research is true to my knowledge but should not be assumed to be true until it is verified with other sources. August Heavner was born on January 5, 1855 in Germany and died on January 9, 1926 in Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois. According to the 1890 Census, Heavner was spelled Hebiner. His mother was Fredericka Lympke. He married Alta Earl on August 19, 1876 in Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois. She was born on April 8, 1849 and died on September 25, 1905 in Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois. Alta's father was James Earl. August and Alta had the following children: (1) Louis Eugene Heavner Sr., (2) William Ernest Heavner born on June 19, 1877 in Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois and died on June 19, 1885. (3) George Elmer Heavner born on November 9, 1878 in Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois and died in 1946. (4) Maude Estella Heavner born on August 10, 1880 in Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois and died on June 19, 1960. She married Joseph Hartshorn on December 10, 1903. (5) Emily Elida Heavner born on February 22, 1882 in Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois and died on December 30,1922. She married Gust R. Nelson on February 26, 1903. (6) Sarah Edna Heavner was bornon February 26, 1886 in Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois and died on March 1, 1931. She married Albert Shrader (now changed to Schroeder) on February 6, 1906. (7) Mabel Christena Heavner was born on July 19, 1888 in Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois and died on September 19, 1959. She married Fred Krause on May 15, 1908. (8)August Edwin Heavner was born on April 13, 1890 in Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois and died on July 18, 1962. He married Ida C. Norbom on September 26, 1911.

Louis Eugene Heavner Sr. was born on February 21, 1882 in Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois. He died on April 24, 1951 in Nogalas, Santa Cruz County, Arizona. He married Sina Rector on December 6, 1908. She was born on June 1, 1885 in Carroll County, Virginia and died on October 11, 1941 in Elgin, Santa Cruz, Arizona. Her parents are Anderson Rector and Rosa Sumner. Louis and Sina had the following children: (1)Louis Eugene Heavner Jr.(2) Sarah Heavner (3) Grace Heavner (4) Lana Heavner

Louis Eugene Heavner Jr. born on August 22, 1919 in Loudon County, Virginia and died on January 6, 1997 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. He was in the U.S. Army service with the Military Police in the Asian Pacific in 1946. He worked for the Southern Pacific for 36 years. I have a few special memeories of him. I came down for the summer to visit my grandmother (Mable) and he would always stop by to check on me while she was at work. He said, "I am going to the Horse Races and I will place a bet for you". He came back that evening with $26.00 for me. I was so excited. In the summertime when I would visit I would sometimes walk over to his house and visit with him. He loved horses. He was always going to the Race Track on the weekends. He married his first wife Mable Dunham on December 25, 1940 in Santa Cruz County, Arizona. She was born on October 24, 1917 in Santa Cruz County, Arizona. She died on October 8, 1997. Her parents are Theodore Gruver Dunham and Ellen Marie Peterson. Louis and Mable got a divorce in 1972. Mable was a special grandmother. I remember her always picking me up after work to sleep at her house. I learned a lot from her. I would spend my summers with her when we moved to Arizona. I love the way she would talk about the time she worked on a ranch cooking and cleaning for the cowboys. Louis and Mable had the following children: (1) Loretta Ellen Heavner (2) Shirley Jean Heavner (3) Carolyn Lou Heavner

(1) Loretta Ellen Heavner was born on November 15, 1941 in Bisbee, Cochise County, Arizona. She married Milam Devon Wells in May of 1958 in Juarez, Mexico. He was born on May 31, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Texas. I don't know much about my father. My mother was very special she always made sure we had a good life growing up. She worked alot in her life and making sure we were raised right. Loretta and Milam had the following children: (a) Michael Wayne Wells (b) David Gene Wells (c) Becki Lynn Wells (d) Patti Kristine Wells

(A) Michael Wayne Wells was born on October 15, 1959 in San Anotonio, Bexar County, Texas. He joined the Air Force when he graduated from high school. He has traveled alot with the Air Force. When in England he met and married Denise Debra Wheeler. They were married on November 12, 1988 in Peterborough, England. Mike had just retired from the Air Force in 1997 and is working at Wal-Mart. Denise is born on January 23, 1968 in Middlesex, London, England. She is a manager at Wal-Mart. They have a daughter named Stephanie Adele Wells born on February 17, 1992 in Great Falls, Montana.

(B) David Gene Wells was born on October 13, 1960 in Rosewell, Chaves County, New Mexico. He also joined the Air Force. He had to retire early because he had found out while he was in Italy that he had cancer. They did catch it in time and removed it. He enjoys singing and playing his guitar. On July 13, 1985 he met his domestic partner who is Gerald David Traeger was born on April 6, 1960 in St. Cloud, Sterns County, Minnesota.

(C) Becki Lynn Wells was born on June 29, 1962 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. She was always playing sports in High School. She went to college. She married Steven Lewis Bartlema on May 7, 1982 in Las Cruses, New Mexico. He was born on September 21, 1955 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. He works for a trailer company. They have two children: Jennifer Marie Bartlema born May 28, 1986 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas and Justin Lewis Bartlema born on September 9, 1992 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas.

(D) Patti Kristine Wells was born on November 5, 1964 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. I enjoy making crafts and working on my family genealogy. I work as a teacher's aide for second grade and Concho Elementary School and sometimes I work in the office in the afternoon at the school. I married Robert Dale Ashcraft on August 6, 1983 in Taylor, Navajo County, Arizona. He was born on September 26, 1960 in San Francisco, San Francisco County, California. His parents are Keith Dale Ashcraft and Teresa Lorraine White. He works for a power plant called Salt River Project. He volunteers for the Fire Department and is an EMT for Concho Valley. We have a daughter named Heather Nicole Ashcraft born on July 20, 1987 in Springerville, Apache County, Arizona. She is going to Concho Elementary School and is an outstanding student there.

In September 2000 we moved to St. Johns, Arizona. I started a new job with the City of St. Johns as a utility clerk. Bob still works at SRP and Heather is now going to school in St. Johns. Bob is now the Assistant Chief of EMS.

Loretta married a second time to Robert James Pipkin on September 20, 1968 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. He was born on June 8, 1938 in Los Angeles, California and died on March 20, 1982 Las Vegas, Nevada. He worked as an electrician. They got a divorce and he moved to Las Vegas. He died of cancer. They had one child Melissa May Pipkin she was born on September 25, 1969 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. She graduated from Southern Utah University on June 5, 1993. She married Alex Munoz on September 29, 1996 in Maui, Hawaii. He was born on March 3, 1966. They got there first foster child named Tyrone Douglas Webb. He was born on June 5, 1984.

Loretta married a third time to Carl Frank Reidhead on November 21, 1981 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. He was born on October 14, 1944 in Snowflake, Navajo County, Arizona. He died on October 4, 2002 at Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona.

(2) Shirley Jean Heavner born on November 2, 1943 in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona. She married Irvin Ralph Adams on October 18, 1963. He was born on January 13, 1941 in New Mexico. He is a truck driver. They have the following children: (A) Irvin Ralph Adams Jr. (B) Kimberly Kay Adams (C) Robert James Adams

(A) Irvin Ralph Adams Jr. born on October 11, 1964 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. He married Donna Fout on November 5, 1988 in Albuquerque, New Mexioco. She was born on December 29, 1966 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ralph is a truck driver. Donna owns her own nail salon. They have two children: Austin Ralph Adams, born on June 11, 1989 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Ashlynn Mary Adams, born on June 5, 1992 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas.

(B) Kimberly Kay Adams was born on June 17, 1968 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. She married Kevin Barnes on August 13, 1988 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. Kevin was born on February 27, 1966 in California. Kim works as a home health aide and Kevin is a mechanic. They have three children: Kayla Kristine Barnes born on July 20, 1990 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, Kelsey Rae Barnes was born on December 19, 1994 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas and Karrie Ellen Barnes was born on February 18, 1998 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas.

(C) Robert Jay Adams, born on December 18, 1972 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. He works for the Railroad as an engineer in El Paso, Texas.

(3) Carolyn Lou Heavner born on November 18, 1944 in Tucson, Arizona. She married Don Hale who was her first marriage. Her second marriage is to Phillip Keeton Hardy on February 26, 1972 in Alamagordo, New Mexico. He was born on August 28, 1938 in El Paso, Texas. He adopted Dale. Phillip works with the electric company. He retired from the electric company and works for the state. They have the following children: (A) Dale Lee Hardy (B) Levi Owen Hardy (C) Keeton Duane Hardy

(A) Dale Lee Hardy born on February 15, 1967 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. He married Cassandra (Casey) Andrews. She was born on November 28, 1972. She has a son from her first marriage, his name is Joel Mathis born on October 12, 1991. Dale and Cassandra has a son together and his name is Ty Ellis Hardy born on November 29, 1996.

(B) Levi Owen Hardy born on September 17, 1972 in Van Horn, Texas. He works for a construction company and is in charge of purchasing.

(C) Keeton Duane Hardy born on July 8, 1974 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. He married Roxanne Loya on February 15, 1997. She was born on December 4, 1976. They have a son named Troy Keeton Hardy. He was born on January 4, 1996. They are expecting another child.

Louis Eugene Heavner Jr.'s second marriage was to Susan Jean Najera on January 14, 1972. She was born on September 17, 1930. They had one child together Louis Eugene Heavner III born on February 2, 1961. He married Julie. Louis Eugene Heavner III also has a son named Richard Warren Heavner.
