Jaime's life can be looked upon as an
impact statement.
Most things Jamie did left an impact in whoever's
life he made contact in.
He was a fighter from day one. He came into
this world too early, as did he leave the
same way.
His childhood was bright and he was a happy
kid.
Jamie was talented and enjoyed music. This
won him a scholarship
in music where he learnt to play drums.
Jamie left school early to work and rarely
was he out of work.
Enjoying the outdoors, he found himself working
in the horticulture world.
Despite how young Jamie was, he had a love
for Roses.
The Rose was a flower that Jamie recognized
as life.
He used to say
'From the minute a rose starts to flower it's
destined to die - it's just like life.'
In 1998, Jamie was first on the scene of a
fatal accident,
one that had haunted him for months afterwards.
A drunk driver had ploughed into an innocent
mans car,
throwing him from the vehicle.
Jamie had managed to help the children that
were also in the car
and tried to help the injured man.
The man later died in hospital despite all
efforts.
It seems ironic how Jamie himself, despite
knowing how vulnerable we
all are on the roads, died the very next year
as a passenger in his own car.
