All About Me
My name is Rachel
Elizabeth. I'm 19 years old.
May 2000 (17 years old, senior year)
I'm in my sophomore year at the local community college working on my Registered Nursing degree. It's been a wonderful road to get there.I home schooled all 12 years of my school! I feel privileged to have parents who were willing to educate me. They've done a wonderful job, if I do say so myself!
In June of 1998, I started volunteering at the local hospital. They've been so great to me! The staff was extremely patient with me; they took me under their wing and taught me everything they could. Being there only concreted my decision to be a nurse. When I graduated, they awarded me a scholarship and hired me as a nursing assistant. That and the fact that I feel God is calling me to be do this. I don't know what lies ahead for me after college, but I am glad that I can only see one step at a time, the step I'm on right now is difficult enough! But I have faith that wherever Christ takes me, He'll be holding my hand. Nothing I am asked to accomplish will have to be done alone.

My siblings
are the best a girl could ask for. Yes, we do fight, more than necessary
sometimes, but we love each other bunches, and I can think of no one else
I'd rather hang out with then my bunch of guys (Yes, that includes Bekah!).
There are so
many things I like to do when I'm not doing school or working. Here are
just a few...
I love movies,
comedies are good, adventure & action are alright, provided it's not
got anything gory, but my true passion is towards sweet, sappy, Chick Flicks!
Yup, sorry if I grossed anyone out with this one. But then again, I also
love "Muppets In Space" and "Bug's Life"! I guess the kid in me just hasn't
grown up yet. And to tell you the truth, I hope it never does!

Music is something
I never seem to get enough of. I have my radio or C.D. player going on
all the time.
My tastes vary
from Classical to Alternative Rock... not sure if I'm well-rounded or extremely
confused.

I do have so many more interests and hobbies. But THE main thing in my life is Jesus Christ. I have so many faults. I let my own human nature have the reigns VERY often (I'm NOT proud of that). But Christ has given me so much freedom and peace from my flesh. For starters, He washed away my sins. Isn't that wonderful? Almighty God, the maker of the universe, suffered anguish and pain on this earth to become the last sacrifice needed for the washing away of sin. I first realized that my sin was causing God to be sad when I was five years old. I prayed and told Him everything that I had done wrong, and I asked Him to forgive me. He did! Now He no longer remembers anything I told Him! As far as the east is from the west, that's how far God forgets my sins. From beginnings of a child's faith until now, Christ has been with me on every twist and turn of the rollercoaster of life.
I have a long
way to go before I am Christ like. I won't be entirely until I reach Heaven!
But Jesus is teaching me so miuch. He's teaching me to love people like
He loves me. He's taught me to not worry so much about strict standards,
and instead to learn what it means to be like Christ. To have the Fruits
of the Spirit. What it means to be a friend.
I'm not a Baptist,
Methodist, Lutheran, or Catholic. One thing I am though. I am a sold-out
Jesus Freak. And so I shall remain.
