The things that the Agitator does to the dog are as follows... Hitting,Yelling, Teasing, Rough play with hands, wrestling and (the worst of all) Tug of war. Tug of war or playing pulling on any object with a dog is the most dangerous thing of all. In the dog's mind he is biting YOU! The object you are holding becomes an extention of your arm, in your dog's mind. You will notice that the dog is growling as you play this tug game with him. With attack dogs we use a burlap sack. This tugging with the Agitator teaches the dog to not only bite him but to hold on. This holding on and not letting go makes an Attack Dog effective and extremely dangerous! In pet shops, people innocently buy pull toys to play with their dogs without ever realizing the terrible danger that it may cause! Once a dog has been agitated, he usually is capable of biting! When we train an attack dog, this aggression toward human badguys can be usefully directed to criminals only because the attack dog is agitated by this stranger. He is NEVER agitated by anyone in his FAMILY! But if a family dog or pet IS agitated by family members then he becomes capable of biting ANYONE! He becomes a dangerous dog who cannot be trusted. The solution to this problem of Aggression is to eliminate the Rough play or Agitation. This ends the Negative things that are currently being done to this dog. Unfortunately it does NOT end the Mental Damage the Agitation has already caused!
