Disclaimer: In an effort to continue family genealogy work which my Great Aunt Mercy had started on the Churchill, Holt and Fletcher families; I went to work. I took a local class in genealogy research, I asked questions, made many research/organizational errors. Then I found myself hooked; not just interested, not just amused, but full-blown, unbelievably hooked.
My family history/genealogy has assumptions, best guesses and some "iffy" documented information. I have utilized some AFN submittals to the LDS church (which sometime can be questionable). I have taken old handwritten pedigrees and used them as gospel. But every entry I made, every family member I located, I learned. I grew as a researcher.
My search for my roots has led me to appreciate and learn something about history, geography, early politics and changes in religions. It is as if my ancestors are teaching and instructing me. Each link/family member had become a friend. The same holds true for the family name researchers I meet along the way, they are friends (and sometimes cousins).
It's not my intention to teach or instruct, but merely to share some of the work done in locating my ancestors. The information I list on these pages is for your personal use only; and not to be used for commercial purposes.
