This homepage is dedicated to the family name of BURKETT that immigrated from Germany during the 1700s. The original spelling of my family name was BURCKHARDT and was changed shortly after they arrived in the United States. Today BURKETTs can be found throughout the U.S. but mainly reside in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Texas, Alabama, North/South Carolina. There is even a town in Texas named after the family.

The BURKETT surname is the 1480th most popular name in the U.S. in the 1990 U.S. census.

It was published in 1990 by Family History Publishers out of Bountiful, UT and authored by Nina Ellis in 1990.
