Hello, I'm Kathy and I'd like to welcome you to my home page. I made Ted and Edward myself. In fact, Edward is the first bear I ever made. I learned the basics of bearmaking from Sally Winey at a bear boutique that used to be in Millburn, New Jersey.
Here she is at 4 weeks old
I've been writing little things besides about Teddy Bears for some time and occasionally get published....
I also took a trip to the 1999 Comic-Con International in San Diego, California. For a report of some of the strange things that happened there, click here-
I have lots of teddy bears, although not as many as I used to. I've given a lot of them away, and even sold a few.
This is a picture of my "first" teddy bear, John Christopher 
and me (I'm the one with the glasses), when I was 19 years old. J.C. went to live with a little boy whose last name was Keebler in Louisville, Kentucky in 1973. Everybody thought I was "too old" to have a teddy bear...
But here is a picture of "Big" Ted (he's the smaller one), Edward (he's the big one) and me (I'm the one without glasses - Lasix surgery from Total Lens Care in Elmwood Park, New Jersey!) nowadays
