Teddy Bears Are Always Good For A Hug!

Search & Win

Hello, I'm Kathy and I'd like to welcome you to my home page.
I have lots of teddy bears, although not as many as I used to. I've given a lot of them away, and even sold a few.
This is a picture of my "first" teddy bear, John Christopher and me (I'm the one with the glasses), when I was 19 years old. J.C. went to live with a little boy whose last name was Keebler in Louisville, Kentucky in 1973. Everybody thought I was "too old" to have a teddy bear...
But here is a picture of "Big" Ted (he's the smaller one), Edward (he's the big one) and me (I'm the one without glasses - Lasix surgery from Total Lens Care in Elmwood Park, New Jersey!) nowadays .

I made Ted and Edward myself. In fact, Edward is the first bear I ever made. I learned the basics of bearmaking from Sally Winey at a bear boutique that used to be in Millburn, New Jersey.
Since this is a home page and I get to use it like a virtual scrapbook, there are pictures and links that I like on the next page.
So please click here--->. There are some great links listed!
Since I am a grandmother, here is a picture of my little grandcub. Her name is Kara Marie and she was born June 2, 1998. She, her mom and her aunt, (my "baby") Elysha are pictured on the Links page.

Here she is at 4 weeks old
and here she is at 9 years old . Her school picture- isn't she the cutest kid on earth?

I've been writing little things besides about Teddy Bears for some time and occasionally get published....
Please take a look at a column the Newark Star-Ledger published of mine. It's the column Speaking Up.This was scanned directly from the clipping I've kept of it. Click on the Smiley Face to see it!

I also took a trip to the 1999 Comic-Con International in San Diego, California. For a report of some of the strange things that happened there, click here- . Some are even bear related!

Hug a Teddy Bear and have a beary happy day!

Feel free to drop me a line and tell me what you like about my page and about your bears!
