My name is Evy, however, in the chatrooms I use the "handle"

surfing on
the Internet in February of 1996. When I first
got online, it was mainly to learn about the stock market, and then ...
I discovered "chatting" !
I first began chatting at Net
Central in
the FortyUp room,
where I met many, many nice people, several of whom I still keep in touch
with to this day. Then, Net Central went down, and our "group"
ended up moving from one chat room to another, unfortunately losing a few
more of our friends with each new room!
but mainly I chat in Took's Mountain Lair
these
days, when I find the time to chat. I also use ICQ.
Okay ...enough about all that
... on to other things ...
I have lived in Illinois all
my life; I was born and raised within 20 miles of where I reside now. Illinois
is well-known as the "Land of Lincoln I have been happily married to
a man who is my very best friend, since March 31,
1974. Check out our wedding picture .. weren't we just adorable?? .. *L* .. now remember, it WAS the 70's!! I have been blessed with two
bright, charming, wonderful,
fantastic
children ..... not that I'm biased, or
anything! You can learn more about my family on the next page!
When I'm not on the internet,
learning all sorts of things, I keep busy with a number of activities.
I do all the bookwork and such for my husband's contracting business, and
I also work part-time at the local high school, and I do all the officework
for a local retail store. Aside from my work, I also enjoy
many other activities, such as reading, doing puzzles - both
jigsaw and crossword and
learning about the
stock market! My husband and I love to go boating, whenever we get
the chance, which isn't often enough it seems! We are loyal (and vocal)
supporters of our high school sports - especially the football team! I've been lucky enough over the
past couple of years, to meet a few of my fellow chatters in person, namely:
Mert, who
I met in August of 1996 in Illinois. Then I was able to spend a day in St. Louis in September
of 1996 with
Buttercup,
Libby
and Jarman
.... we all had a great time!! This summer
I met up with Libby and Buttercup 
I absolutely LOVE all holidays ... my family would tell you I go overboard for holidays, and it's probably true, but I can't help myself!! .. *BG* ..
I've been working on my homepage
whenever I get a chance lately, so keep checking it out. I've just added
the second page about my family - eventually, I hope to add to it with
more family pics and stuff, now that I have a digital camera .... and as soon as my daughter has the time
(and patience) to help me, I'll get to it!! I want to acknowledge a very,
very special lady, Dutchie, (Tresa)
who created the graphics I used for my background
and border on both pages! I would
