OUR FEATHERED FRIENDS

Hello, my name is Snuggles. This is what I look like.I am a "Nanday Conure" parrot.I was adopted on February 1st.You see,my other owners
decided that they didn't want me anymore.Imagine that,I'm so cute.Oh well,I didn't like to talk when I lived there and I love my new home much better. I began saying my name for the first time on the way to my new home. Now that I'm in my new home I like to talk like "Donald Duck" My favorite word at this time is "awesome".I can also say"that's just not fair", "come on","let's go","apple","good?","huh?","faster, faster","hello", "what?","snuggles",and "kiss, kiss"with the kissing sound. Some of the things that I loves to do is:dance, tap my foot, tap my beak on things to make the seed in my throat rattle,be a brat, give kisses, take a bath, sit on mommy's shoulder, and preen her hair.

Hello, my name is "Sidney".This is what I looks like.I am a "Goffin Cockatoo".I was adopted with Snuggles and had the same owners who decided that they didn't want me either.Anyways,I love my new home better. It's unusual for us Cockatoo to get along with a Conure but Snuggles and I love to be together.I preen Snuggles under my wing, and cuddle with him all the time.I love mornings. This is when I go back and forth on the cage bars with my beak, like an abacus.I likes to watch t.v., and make cackling noises. Some of my sounds are like a sheep and some of my sound are like a duck.I am shy and a lot quieter than my roomate. We're like "The odd couple"because we are so different from each other. The only thing that's not different is our love that we have for each other.

The Life And Times Of Snuggles and Sidney

Snuggles and Sidney came to live with us just last February after we found out that they were living in a home where they didn't have the attention and care that they should've had.Snuggles was given attention when the couple first got him but later on, it was taken away from him. Sidney wasn't treated properly. His previous owner didn't have any patients towards Sidney and "expected" him to come to him. Sidney was chased around his cage and cornered ,being forced to have no other place to go than on the person's arm. When we saw this we felt bad,we still do everytime Sidney watches our hands.

Now in our home, they get lots of love and attention. Snuggles has already decided to talk and wants to learn more.Sidney is begining to interact with cackling noises, tossing treats that we place on top of the cage, and eagerly climbing out of his cage to sit on top.Although he still watches our hands,he is now taking treats that I place at the end of his perch. We are happy knowing that we are able to make a difference in their lives. They certainly have made a difference in ours.
