          Come Meet Jeremia

Hello, my name is Jeremia and I am glad you came by to visit with me. I was born and raised in the mountains of North Carolina, close to my families roots. I am descended from Native American and European ancestry. While growing up there, I heard a lot of folklore, learned to do many handcrafts, came to love animals and nature and gained an appreciation for art in all forms.

At age 16, my family moved to Ypsilanti, Michigan where I attended and graduated high school. After graduation I entered military service: U S ARMY (WAC) where I attended Laboratory Science School. I served in that capacity till the end of my enlistment. At this point I married and began raising a family while continuing to work in the laboratory field. Although I was credentialed to perform my job, I did not have a college degree. While continuing to work and raise my two children, Keith and Margaret, I returned to school to pursue a college degree. Unfortunately, while doing this, I encountered marital difficulties and divorce followed. This of course interrupted my education. At a later date I remarried and my new husband encouraged me to complete my education. In 1982, I was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Minnesota. I next applied for Florida Teachers Certification in Math and Science, which was granted. I chose to continue in the laboratory field and teach continuing education classes for medical professionals. Because of a medical condition I retired in 1990.

I have continued to live in St. Petersburg, Florida with my husband of 25 years, Louis. My wonderful son and lovely daughter are grown now and I am very proud of them as they proceed in their lives and chosen professions. Louis and I do have two fur babies, Bud and Rosie, our precious cats. Because of worsening medical health I don't get out much anymore. But in spite of this I maintain a strong spiritual conviction and continue with my love of poetry, art, crafting, reading, researching genealogy and cooking, among other things. Now through the use of WEB TV and a computer a whole new world on the internet has been opened up to me. I hope through these pages to share that world and mine with you.
