      Calvin and Hobbes FACTS:

      1. Calvin and Hobbes was first published November 18, 1985


      2. Calvin and Hobbes was first published in only thirty-five newspapers, Bill Watterson's hometown paper was not one of them.


      3. Last published strip: December 31, 1995. Calvin and Hobbes ran for just a little over ten years.



      Calvin and Hobbes Characters:


      Calvin- spends about half of time in an imaginary world with his friend Hobbes


      Hobbes- the imaginary cat; has a dim view of human nature


      Calvin's Parents- are never seen; they are typical parents


      Susie Derkins- Calvin's friend; she is very serious and smart


      Miss Wormwood- Calvin's teacher; she takes too much medicine and is ready to retire



      Moe- any typical jerk that walks the neighborhood


      Rosalyn- Calvin's babysitter
