CUB SCOUT PACK 455

CALENDAR OF EVENTS:

Dec 14^th - 7:00 p.m. Christmas caroling: Meeting at the Pioneer forum. Bring hot chocolate it might get cold
Dec 22^th- Distribution on Christmas tree pick-up flyers. Meeting at Pioneer 9:30 am
Jan 5^th – Christmas tree pick-up. Meeting at Pioneer (time to follow at later date)
Jan 13^th- Committee meeting: Pied piper pizza 12 noon
Jan 20^th – Pinewood derby weigh-in: Scott Perkins house.
Jan 31^st – Jan. pack meeting: 7:00 Pinewood Derby. Lots of fun and prizes planned. Come ready to have fun.
Feb 28^th- Feb pack meeting: also Blue and gold. This meeting will be held at the moose lodge.

Event details:

Blue and Gold- This is the anniversary of Cub Scouts. It is usually a dinner and award ceremony at the moose lodge.

Raingutter Regatta - In conjunction with the summer family picnic, the boys create sailing vessels and show off their designs and craftsmanship to their fellow Cub Scouts. This will be held at Vancouver Park this year. ( please note the new location it has been moved)

Scout outing(s) – Think of someplace educational and offer it to your Den Leader so we can consider having the Pack go visit in the summer of 2002.

Camp Lewis – Another favorite for the boys in mid summer. Five days of Camp north of Battleground where fun filled activity is the theme of the week.

Basic information:

Pack Meetings are held on the last available Thursday of each month at Pioneer Elementary School unless a significant conflict exists. The Den members at their own expense provide refreshments for the Pack, so please help out your Den leader if possible.

Den Meetings are usually scheduled for weekly meetings, but each Den Leader and their assistants determine frequency and location. Den Meetings are where the boys get together and work on crafts and special projects pertaining to the monthly theme and get signed off for activities they have accomplished in their respective Scouting Books.

Committee Meetings are held once per month and involve all Den Leaders as well as individuals who have made some time available to help out the Pack. Committee positions include a Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Awards chairman, Information chairman, Cub Master and Assistant Cub Master. We are always looking for people to help out in all areas of the pack
