Our Engagement
On April 19, 1997, Shannon proposed
to me! I was so excited! It was just like I always dreamed!!
He got down on one knee and everything!! He gave me a beautiful oval
solitare...it is a great quality diamond and absolutely stunning!!
Of course I said yes, and the next day at school (I was student teaching
high school seniors at the time) ALL of the kids noticed it, and
wanted to talk about it the entire class time...anything to get out of
class!! :)

in the local paper a few weeks after we made our engagement public (which
was April 19th!!)
