The caller for the club is Mary Lou Ashe. Mary Lou is
an experienced caller who has been calling for approximately 20 years and
is a member of Callerlab. Mary Lou and her husband Jim have been active
in square dancing since 1968. Please

The Rainbow Reelers sponsor two special dances each year:
- Rye Patch Reservoir Memorial Day Weekend Campout.
- The Adventure Campout.
The Rye Patch Reservoir Memorial Day Weekend
Campout by its name is held over the Memorial Day Weekend. Fun
begins on Friday evening when everyone starts to arrive. Friday is
usually reserved for relaxation and visitation as everyone arrives.
If everyone wishes an impromptu dance can be arranged. Saturday day
is spent with everyone relaxing and doing normal camp out activities.
Saturday evening begins about 6:00 p.m. with a barbeque. Meat for
the barbeque is furnished by Mary Lou and is covered in the cost of the
Saturday evening dance. Every family attending the barbeque furnishes
a pot-luck dish to pass. The dance itself begins between 7:00 p.m.
and 7:30 p.m. when most everyone has finished eating and lasts until approximately 10:00 p.m. Sunday morning everyone helps in the furnishing, preparation, and sharing of breakfast. The rest of the weekend is spent relaxing with visitation and normal camp out activities with families departing
when they wish.
The Adventure Campout is held during the latter part of July
or early August at a different location each year. Activity layout
for this dance is much the same as that of the Rye Patch Reservoir dance.
The only difference is that everyone furnishes their own meat for barbequing
and there is no charge for the dance. Please contact Mary Lou for specific
details if you are interested in this dance.
