OUR DOG SAM

This is our dog Sam. She was 8on July 3rd, 1998. Can you guess why we named her Sam? After Uncle Sam. She loves to watch karts race. We try to bring her to as many races as we can. Sometimes the drive to the tracks are to long for her.

This is Sam in 1989

Sam is all white, when she is clean. She has brown eyes, and a pink nose. She loves to run, milk cartons are her favorite toy. She likes to play soccer too.

Sam does not like to eat dog food. We are always trying to add things to her food to get her to eat. We finally found out that she likes to mix canned food with bagged food. Sam really prefers to eat cat food though.

Sam's day at the parade

Today Sam went with us to watch Patti and Tracy march with there middle school band. Sam thought that both of the girls play their instruments really well. The big loud drums really scared me though.

The other dogs at the Memorial Day parade were the most fun to watch, and sometimes smell. I also liked the ferret that was there. I can't wait until my next parade!

Sam and the cats

Yesterday night Sam and the cats were very bad. Isabelle, our 8 month old cat, jumped up on the counter and found some steaks marinating. Isabelle knocked the steaks onto the floor and Sam decided to grab one.

While Sam had one of the steaks, our other cat, Barney a 2 year old cat, decided to share the second steak with Isabelle. Sam brought the steak to the rug and started to eat it. By the time we found them all, the steaks were half eaten! That's the last time that we'll leave our steaks unattended!

Sam's Vacation

Sam just got back from Vacation. Sam was so glad to get home!!! She went to our friends house for the week end of Aug. 14th - Aug. 18th (We hope they are still friends). We went racing. Anyways Sam played with her dog friend, and fought too. All and all things went well, that is until Sam decided to dig her way home. Monday, Sam dug a big hole to get under the fence. This hole wasn't just anywhere it was in the middle of the flower garden. She was on the way home about half way through the fence when she got caught. She had mud all over her when we picked her up, and our friends were very happy to say good bye. She spent her first day home sleeping.

Sam's Lesson

Yesterday Sam went flying out our back door, and into our yard. Before I knew it she had caught a squirrel. She was tossing it up in the air and catching it in her mouth, while running through the yard. I was yelling NO Sam put it down, which did not work. This went on for about two minutes, which seemed much longer. Then Sam came running up to me with blood all over her face. I thought oh, icky now what? As I was feeling sorry for the squirrel, I looked over, and saw it running away. So I ran in and grabbed a wet towel to clean up Sam. The squirrel was fine, but Sam had a tooth bite in her nose. I cleaned her up, and she was just fine. I think she might think twice next time she goes to play with a squirrel.
