FAMILY OF JOSEPH DEATON

Joseph DEATON was the son of Thomas DEATON Jr. and his wife, Mary GIBB. Joseph was probably born in Amelia County, Virginia around 1755-65. He migrated to Montgomery County, North Carolina with his father in the late 1770's and lived there until his death between 1820-30.
