Black Rose Dulcimers
Appalachian Built By Bill Todd in the Appalachian foot hills of southern Ohio

When Mr Peabody set up operations in the hills, it was as if he had given us a beautiful rose. There were jobs that meant we weren't committed to a life on the farm and maybe could get a little ahead in life. Then the mines ran out and we suddenly realized the farms were gone, our families were scattered over several company towns and there were no jobs left for us. All that was left of a once proud area was empty mining towns, gob piles and over grown farms. The rose that once seemed so beautiful was as black as the coal we had mined from the ground.

This page is under some really serious construction right now. Everything is being loaded as soon as it's finished without proofing so please forgive the typo and spelling errors. I'm a lot better at building dulcimers than I am at building web pages.
