This site is mainly aimed toward the Genealogy of my family. See below for more information

You can also check on Sports, and Country Music and a few of my other favorites

As an example, in Genealogy I like Cyndi Howell's Genealogy Site.
It has over 230,280 genealogy sites, all indexed for easy searching.

A GREAT site for anyone researching the immigration of ancestors is the Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild. It is a group of volunteers who transcribe actual ships registers and put them on the Internet for everyone to use. As of March 2003 there are over 5500 ships on line to check out. Please give them a look - and maybe volunteer.

I am researching the names :

PRITCHARD - My grandfather, David G. Pritchard was born in Deiniolen, Wales in 1850. He came to the U.S.A. in 1870 to work in the slate quarries in Eastern Pennsylvania. He died in 1935

HUGHES - My grandmother's maiden name. She was born in Caenarvon, Wales in 1860. Her parents were William and Ann Hughes. She came to the U.S.A. in about 1886. she met and married my grandfather here and they had four sons, all of whom remained in this area until their deaths.

KITCHEN - My mothers maiden name. The fartherest I can go back in this line is Thomas W. Kitchen, born in 1834 in New Jersey. He married Rachel Cole and they had four children. Three stayed in Jersey and the fourth, Arlington, my great-grandfather, came to Pennsylvania. I have a lot on Arlington's line, but not much on the others.

SWEET - My grandmothers maiden name. Her grand-father was John Sweet, born in England about 1823. He had five children, three of whom came to the States. One remained in England and the other one went to Australia. I have a lot on the ones who came to the U.S. but zero on the others.

MUTTON - My great-grandmother's maiden name. She married one of the Sweet boys. Her father was Thomas Mutton, born in 1835 in England. He had six children, all of whom came to Pennsylvania. I have a lot of info on this family.

DUVALL - My wife's maiden name. Her grandfather's name was Henry Duvall born about 1870 in Sharpsville, Pa. He married Mary Kuhl and they had six children. Some stayed in Western Pennsylvania and a few came to Eastern Pa. I have quite a bit on this last group.

McQUINNEY - My wife's grandmother was married twice. First to a man named Phillips. I have zero on him but a litle on his other two daughters. My wife's Mother was the oldest daughter and I have her entire family. Her second husband was Alfred McQuinney. They had eight children. This family is scattered all over the country; Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, Colorado and Washington. There are three of us re-searching this family so we have quite a bit of info.

DENTITH - This is for a friend of mine who is trying to find more info on his family. His oldest known ancestor is Thomas E. Dentith, born about 1810 in Wrexham, England. He had eight children, some of whom came to the States and some remained in England. We have quite a bit on the ones who came over but practically zero on the ones who stayed in England. One problem is the spellings; Dentith, Denteth, Daintith, Dainteth etc.
