La Casita III is a new facility which will be constructed at 607 Prospect Avenue through a grant from the New York State Department of Social Services/Homeless Housing Assistance Program. This facility, which we refer to as "The Mix" is scheduled to open in 1998 and will feature permanent low-income supportive apartments for families who have completed La Casita's treatment program as well as clients in the orientation and re-entry phases of La Casita. This is due to the overwhelming demand for residential treatment and housing for women with young children which the agency has experienced since the opening of La Casita in 1990.
