
You know it's a SMALL TOWN...
- when you call the wrong number but you
talk for 20 minutes anyway;
- when the bank lets you use counter checks;
- when you are still a newcomer after you have lived there
15 years;
- you can see someone standing at the other end of town and
you know who it is;
- when you don't use turn signals because everyone knows
where you are going;
- if you are not in church on Sunday, the preacher prays
for you to get well;
- when you know all the people and all the dogs -- and they
know you;
- when you are a visitor and everyone knows whose wedding
or funeral you came to attend;
- when everyone waves;
- when the really nice house belongs to the banker;
- when there is a teacher in the high school who: teaches algebra, geography, and Spanish; coaches volleyball, basketball, track, and softball; and is the senior class sponsor.
