An easy way to remove spilled candle wax from carpeting:
Place a paper grocery bag over stain, then run hot iron over top. Just keep rotating your bag until you don't see any more grease marks.

      Kink in necklace:
To get it out, soak in vegetable oil over night; or roll a shot glass over it.

      Kool Aid stain in carpet:
      Use club soda

To enhance the flavor of grilled foods:
toss aromatic bundles of fresh or dried herbs such as rosemary, bay, thyme, sage or oregano onto your coals (soak herbs first for 30 minutes and drain).

      Time saving cooking tip:
cut up extra onion, green pepper or herbs the next time you make a recipe, then spread on a cookie sheet and freeze. Just break the frozen foods into pieces and store in a covered container up to a month to shortcut future meal preparation.

      Sunburn:
If your child develops a sunburn, cover him/her with a wet shirt, towel, or sheet for about 20 minutes - the softer the fabric the better. The dampness cools skin and eases pain. Repeat as needed.

Do you have a sink stopper that is not air tight?
Just place some plastic wrap into the drain and insert the stopper. Instant watertight seal.

      Cleaning underneath the refrigerator:
For easy cleaning, just place an old sock over the end of a fly swatter. Swipe it deep under the refrigerator to remove debris.

      Cleaning your can opener:
For easy cleaning, just feed a paper towel through the can opener. The paper towel will clean the blades.

      Clogged Vacuum Cleaner Hose:
Push a garden hose through the vacuum hose to clear it out. Drop a penny through the vacuum hose to test if the debris is cleared.

      Killing flour bug larvae:
Freeze new flour and other dry goods for a few days to kill any flour bug larvae.

      Ants:
If ants have invaded your home, find their point of entry and apply a barrier of chalk, boric acid or black pepper. Make sure it's a solid line or they'll get around it.

      Vacuuming:
When vacuuming, wear a fanny pack. It's great for holding all the little things you find on the floor such as paper clips, rubber bands, small toys, pieces of popcorn, etc. It will keep you from running back and forth to the trash and other rooms.

      Disposal odors:
Grind some lemon rinds and ice cubes in it.
