Reason why I Believe in Breast Cancer Awareness

In 1997 my Aunt was Diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I am happy to say She Is A Survior and is Cancer Free!! She was lucky and did not have to have the whole breast removed. We just pray that she is healed and that the Cancer stays away. My Aunt has taken over the role of Mother to me over the past several years and I Thank God everyday that I still have her here with me.

Update on my Aunt as of January 2000. My Aunt went in for a mamogram again for a check up. She has them more than once a year now since they discovered the Breast Cancer. They thought that they had found some more. After taking numerous pictures they discovered that all they were seeing was scar tissue from when they removed the cancerous lump. We all were so realived! Still Cancer Free for just over 2 years now!! Thank You God for taking care of her!

Write To Your Member of Congress Today
Support Increased Funding for Cancer Research & Patient Access To Quality Cancer Care

Join our grassroots effort and urge your Member of Congress to support increased funding for cancer research and patient access to quality cancer care. Congress is currently considering FY 1999 appropriations funding legislation for all operations of the federal government, including biomedical research. In addition, a variety of managed care reform bills are also moving through Congress. These important policy debates are critical to the cancer community.

What Cancer Cannot Do...

Cancer is so limited-

It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirit.
Our greatest enemy is not the disease, but despair.
Cancer might rob us of that blissful ignorance that once led us to believe that tomorrow stretched forever.
In exchange we are granted the vision to see each day, today, as a precious gift to be used wisely and richly.
