To My Sister
For The Memories Shared


Today I thought of yesterday
And long gone days ago
I felt the tug of sister love
And had to let you know.




Today I traveled back again
To years when we were small
The growing up, the thoughts and plans
The make believe, the dolls.





Today is close to yesterday
And yet so long gone by
The dreams we shared, the hopes, the fears
And now I breathe a sigh.





The yesterdays I wouldn't claim
For now is what we have
And so the tug of sister love
Can really make me glad.





To reach across the yesterdays
And send my love today
I loved you then, I love you now
Years can't take that away.
