There
is a plan I have been told through my entire life
For each and every one of us a path through joy and strife.
And in that plan our own dear Lord has, oh, so much in store.
That if we knew ahead of time we'd never wish for more.
Today as I reflect my past and future still ahead
I know He's given me much more than just my daily bread.
And in His plan my life has shown in many many ways
He walks with me and talks with me and helps me every day.
And every day in little ways He has rewards to give
A small surprise, a welcome gift, to cheer this life I live.
Today I know that one of these great pleasures that He sends
Are precious answers to my need. Like you, He sends me friends.
Sometimes we live a lifetime and some never know His plan.
We stumble through our every day and do the best we can.
We let our dearest treasures go and never feelings share
And maybe let our friends just give and never say we care.
So may I say, dear friends in Christ, I thank Him now for you
I praise His name and give Him all the glory that's His due.
May all our hands be ever clasped in friendship real and true.
And may our worlds grow closer just because our friendship grew.
