This page is dedicated to my
daughter Stephanie, who was diagnosed with Diabetes when she was only
4 years old!! In my eyes, she is my hero and on this site I will have
some excellent Diabetes sites. And hopefully inform people about this
horrible disease!
This is Stephanie isn't she
adorable! She is 11 years old. She is like any other child other than
having Diabetes. She doesn't mind it too much, sometimes the shots get
to be a pain. She does finger pokes 4 times a day and receives 2 shots
of insulin a day. Some of the things she likes to do is read fantasy
books, crafts, collect Unicorns (she has 40!), play with her friends.
She is also active in Karate and is a brown belt!!
Here is a picture of her at Christmas, she looks so pretty!
Here is Stephanie at a Colorado
Rockies game in June 2000.
Here Stephanie, her sister Amanda
and myself on top of Doc Holiday's grave in Glenwood Springs, CO.
Here is a recent picture of Beasley, he was tired from the Beagle picnic!!
This was at a motel pool, it rained, so we had some fun!!
In the summer of 1998, her and her dad got to meet Mike Lansing, 2nd
baseman for the Colorado Rockies. It was quite a treat and he is a very
nice man.
Here she is getting an autograph from Mike.
Here she is again.
And just another pic of Mike.
Did you know
that Nicole Johnson, Miss America is also a Diabetic?? Stephanie also
got to meet her. She is a very nice person and very dedicated to
making sure everyone knows about Diabetes.
