Hi. My name is Teiwaz (as is my log name). My husband, Khalifa, and I are about to give birth to Baby #1. We are due on November 8th. This is my first pregnancy. I'm 31 years old, and will be a mother before turning 32. Khalifa and I both "feel" like it is a boy. We've checked out that Chinese birth chart, and that also points to a boy. We could be efficient and high-tech, and find out the baby's gender through an ultra sound, but we've chosen to wait. Actually, we are going the complete non high-tech route - with a midwife and a home birth. Is anyone else choosing this? Women have been giving natural home births throughout the centuries. That is the way God had arranged it, and God knows what He is doing :) If you are healthy, have you considered why you would want to give birth in a cold and expensive hospital, as opposed to in the comforts and security of home? We were married in October last year and bought an apartment that we only got to live in for four months before the move but which we are now renting out. I am a legal secretary for a multi-national law firm and Simon is a sales rep for a company that sells shedding and equipment to the poultry industry in Australia and PNG. My name is Janice (age 33) and I am expecting my second child. My DH's name is John (35) and my daughter is Shelby (2.5). She is very excited about the possibility of a little sister but I think it's a boy! We are due 11/10/98. I had an early u/s due to a miscarriage last August and was delighted to see a heartbeat, and heard it again at 13 weeks with the Doppler.
We have all lived in Michigan our whole lives. My hobbies are crafts (mainly sewing but I'm starting to knit again) and tinkering on the computer. Right now I am working full time but looking at other arrangements after #2; it is a difficult decision after working ten years and having an MBA. My DH has a very busy career too and is often at meetings on weeknights so I worry about our family getting stressed
